How do I edit the blocks of a site a partner built?
Short answer
Your own website from a partner draws its own blocks. The partner decides which fields each block has, you decide what is in them. Each block is saved on its own and only the fields you changed are saved.
This text comes from the Portican admin, word for word as you see it on screen. When the screen changes, this page changes with it.
Good to know
- Blocks appear here when the partner who built your own website uploads their block schema with a look version and you publish that version on the Look versions screen. Until then the website has no texts to change here.
- Not changed in this language yet, the website shows the defaults from your partner.
- Some blocks have changes that are not saved. If you switch the language now, the changes are lost.
Steps
Sign in to the Portican admin.
In the menu, open Shop → Partner blocks.
Choose “Language of the texts”.
Click “Add item”.
Click “Move up”.
Click “Back to the partner default”.
Start with your store, not with technical worries.
