How do I turn on refer-a-friend?
Short answer
Customers with an account get their own link in their account. A friend who buys through it for the first time gets a discount on that order, and the customer who recommended them gets a discount on their next purchase once the friend’s order is delivered and the waiting period passes. The reward is always a discount, never money.
We wrote the short answer ourselves. The steps and button names come from the Portican admin, exactly as you see them on screen.
Steps
Sign in to the Portican admin.
In the menu, open Marketing → Refer a friend.
Choose “Offer customers a referral link on this market”.
Fill in “Reward for the friend, on their first order”.
Fill in “Reward for the referrer, on their next order”.
Fill in “Days after delivery before the referrer is rewarded”.
Fill in “Most rewards per referrer a month”.
Save your changes with “Save”.
Start with your store, not with technical worries.
