How do I split an order into two shipments?
Short answer
When a cart mixes items you have in stock with items from your external warehouse, the shop splits it into two orders: the first ships right away, the second follows within the lead time set here, with its own delivery date, parcel, payment and invoice. Choose who pays the shipping of the second shipment. The customer sees both shipments and their dates in the cart, at checkout and in the confirmation e-mail.

Steps
Sign in to the Portican admin.
In the menu, open Shipping and payments → Split shipments.
Choose “Split orders into two shipments”.
Fill in “External warehouse lead time”.
Fill in “Shipping for the second shipment”.
Save your changes with “Save”.
